The full moon of the month of Baisakh, of the Hindu calendar is celebrated as Buddha Purnima. This festival is commonly known as Buddha Purnima in the Sanatan religion calendar.
Significance of Buddha Purnima
Vesak, a Buddhist festival also known as Buddha Jayanti or Buddha Purnima, and Buddha Day, is a festival or holiday traditionally celebrated by Buddhists. It is one of the most important Buddhist festivals. This festival commemorates the birth, enlightenment, and death of Gautama Buddha in Theravada.
