Meaning & Significance of Vyatipata Yoga (व्यतिपात नित्य योग)
The word "Vyatipata" means calamity, prone to sudden mishap, unexpected accident, then reversal, unstable and unreliable. Vyatipata yoga is not an auspicious yoga. It is the 17th Nitya yoga, the deity of Vyatipata yoga is Rudra and Rahu is the ruling planet of Vyatipat Nitya yoga. The word Vyatipata appears in many stone inscriptions, such as grants, donations to temples, lists of deaths of war heroes, self-immolation of sages or mention of women committing sati.
Characteristics of Vyatipata Yoga
Although this is not an auspicious yoga. No auspicious work is done during this yoga.
