What is Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi(عید میلاد النبی)?
Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi is a festival of the Muslim community. It is celebrated on the 12th of the Islamic month of Rabi-ul-Awwal, which falls in September and marks the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad. This festival is very important on Fridays as devotees offer prayers collectively.

Hazratbal Dargah witnessed a huge crowd of devotees as the shrine resounded with “Naat Khwani” and “Darood-o-Azkaar”. Emotional scenes were witnessed when the holy relic was put on display after Friday prayers.
People were seen seeking forgiveness and praying for their well-being during the display of the holy Nishan. There was a festive atmosphere around and in the markets of Hazratbal and vendors and shopkeepers decorated their shops with lights and other decorative items. The entire area looks festive and cheerful during the festival.
