Ratha Saptami Puja

Ganga Snana

Offer water to the Sun
In the morning after sunrise , people offer water to the Sun God.
Perform Puja
People install the idol of the Sun God, Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati and perform Puja.
Offer Tilak and Akshat
People apply Tilak and Akshat to all the gods and goddesses.
Offer Flowers and Fruits
People offer different types of seasonal flowers and fruits to the Sun Narayan.
Donate in Copper Utensils
It is believed thar, on the donate rice in copper utensils is very auspicious.
Other Remedies
According to astrology, worship Sun God after bathing on Achala Saptami. Add red sandalwood, jaggery and red flowers to the water and offer arghya. Later recite Aditya Hridya Stotra. It is believed that this will bring you success in the work field. Also, fame and reputation will increase.
On the day of Achala Saptami, after bathing and worship, donate lentils, jaggery, copper, wheat, red or orange clothes to a poor Brahmin. It is believed that this will strengthen the position of the Sun in your horoscope.
On the day of Rath Saptami i.e. Achala Saptami, take a bath by adding red sandalwood, Gangajal, saffron or red flowers to the water. It is believed that this will please the Sun God and he will bless you with happiness and prosperity.
