Significance of New Year
In the Gregorian calendar, New Year's Day is the January 1, which is the first day of the calendar year. It is based on the most solar calendars such as Gregorian and Julian begin the year regularly at or near the northern winter solstice, whereas cultures and religions that follow lunisolar or lunisolar calendars celebrate their Lunar New Year at less fixed points relative to the solar year.
Why New Year Started on January?
