When Parsi New Year Celebrates
The Parsi New Year is a regional holiday celebrated on the first day of “Farvardin”, the first month of the Zoroastrian Calendar. It is also known as Navroz, derived from the Persian words 'nav' means new and 'roz', meaning day or new day, respectively.
The festival falls on the spring equinox around March 21 every year, but the Parsi community in India follows the Shahenshahi calendar and thus celebrates their new year in July or August. Parsi New Year 2024 will be celebrated on August 16, Friday in India.
