Who is Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah
Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah was born in December 5, in 1905 year at Soura, near the Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India.
Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah, died in 8th September, in 1982 year in Srinagar was a prominent figure in India’s struggle for independence from British rule, who fought for the rights of the Kashmir region.
Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah won a semi-autonomous status for Jammu and Kashmir state within independent India, a status which the state continued to enjoy into the 21st century until its autonomy was suspended in 2019. It was reorganized into two separate union territories.
Education of Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah
Muhammad Abdullah was educated at the Prince of Wales College in Jammu and the Islamia College in Lahore which is now in Pakistan. Then he received a master’s degree in physics from Aligarh Muslim University in 1930.
He was championed the rights of the Muslim majority in the Kashmir region during British rule in India and fought against the discrimination exercised by the Hindu ruling house there.
Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah Established Jammu and Kashmir National Conference(JKNC)
Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah obeyed every religion. In 1932, after Abdullah served the first of what would be many terms of imprisonment, then he founded a political party, called the All–Jammu & Kashmir Muslim Conference. But seven years later he renamed the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) once again. He supported the concept of a secular state, and, when India achieved independence in 1947. Many Kashmiris Political Parities shown interest that Kashmir should merge with Pakistan. But Abdullah. strongly opposed this idea of Kashmir’s joining with Pakistan.
