Significance of Shodashopachara Puja
The ritual of “Shodashopachara Puja” holds great significance. First and foremost, the main purpose of this type of worship is twofold. Primarily, it is to elevate the five senses of the worshipper and, in doing so, lead them to a higher level of consciousness that will promote good thoughts and actions.
Secondly, it is based on the Indian traditions of honouring a guest, where each offering is a service to the deity who is present in the idol for the duration of the puja.
There are many types of worship and rituals, of which this is one. Most pujas are performed with sixteen offerings. First, meditate on the goddess or god you are doing this puja, and after meditating.
