The third day of Navratri is called Navratri Tritya Tithi. On the third day, devotees worship mother Chandra Ghanta with Shodashapochara Puja people perform with proper rituals and performs aarti after offering sweets and fruits as well as different types of red and yellow flowers. It is believed that mother Kushmanda loves Kheer with lots of dry fruits as naivedya so people offer it to her on the day.
Chandra Ghanta Puja
Mother Chandra Ghanta is the form of goddess Jagadamba who has 8 arms and holds divine power. It is believed that by worshipping Maa Chandra Ghanta, all your desired tasks are fulfilled and the tasks which face obstacles are also completed without any hindrance. she has three eyes, and a half moon on the head. She holds a large bell in one hand. The sound of this large bell would send enemies shivering away. She would chase and kill demons, all the while ringing the bell. This bell produced a very menacing sound. This is why the goddess is known as Chandra Ghanta.
By worshipping mother Chandra Ghanta, devotees get happiness and good fortune and enemies free. It is said in Devi Purana that mother Chandra Ghanta helps devotees to keep away enemies from distance. Mother Chandra Ghanta or Devi Durga helps in developing their intelligence.
