Brahmacharini is the second incarnation of Navdurga. It means a devoted female student who lives in an ashram with her guru and other students. She is the second form of the Navdurga forms of Mahadevi and is worshipped on the second day of Navratri.

Goddess Brahmacharini is a form of Parvati and wears white clothes, holds a rosary in her right hand and a “kamandalu” in her left hand. The word “Brahmacharini” is derived from two Sanskrit words, the godess taken roasry and kamandalu in hands.
