The fourth day of Navratri is called Chaturthi Navratri. On the fourth day, devotees worship mother Kushmanda with Shodashapochara Puja people perform with proper rituals and performs aarti after offering sweets and fruits. It is believed that mother Kushmanda loves Malpua as naivedya so people offer it to her on the day.
