On the sixth day of Chaitra Navaratri, the sixth form of Maa Durga is Maa Katyayani, she is worshiped on the sixth day of Navratri. Mother Katyayani is Sarva Shaktiman, Katyani's another name is also Mahisamardini(महिषामर्दिनी). Mother Katyayani's form is very bright. They have four arms. His upper right hand remains in Abhaya Mudra(अभय मुद्रा). And the one below it is in Hach Vara posture. There is a sword in the upper hand on the left side of the mother and a lotus flower is present in the lower hand. Mother Katyayani also rides a lion. By worshiping them a person attains salvation.
