About Kanni Pongal 2025
The fourth and last day of Pongal is known as Kanya Pongal. It is also known as Tiruvallur. On this day the house is cleaned and decorated with flowers. Along with making Rangoli in the main gate, an archway made of coconut and mango leaves is installed in the main gate. On this day, sugarcane is kept in the open and various dishes made from milk, rice, sugar and ghee are offered to the Sun God. Pongal festival is one of the most important festivals of India.
